Are you good enough to go to Heaven?

What does God say in the Bible?

Have you ever lied?
Have you ever hated?
Have you ever stolen?
Have you ever lusted?
Have you ever used God’s name disrespectfully?

If you answered ‘yes’
God sees you as:
a liar
a murderer
a thief
an adulterer
a blasphemer

This standard by which God judges us is perfect and holy and when measured by it, truly,
no person is ‘good’ or righteous in His sight (Matt. 19:17; Rom. 3:23).
• “For whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point,
he is guilty of all” (James 2:10).
• “Sin is the transgression of the Law” (I Jn. 3:4).
“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness,
an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
all these evil things come from within, and defile the man” (Mark 7:21-23).
“For the wages of sin is death” (Rom. 3:23a).
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone;
which is the second death” (Rev. 21:8).
“For Christ also hath suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit” (I Peter 3:18).
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”
(Rom. 5:8).

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (I Cor. 15:3-4).
Christ had no sin of His own, He never broke God’s Law and therefore, deserved no punishment. But he willingly gave Himself a sacrifice to pay for your sins and satisfy the Law’s demands on your behalf
(II Cor. 5:21; Matt. 5:17).
“The Lord . . . is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish
but that all should come to repentance” (II Pet. 3:9).
“. . . Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached
in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46-47).
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6).
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13).
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” (Acts 3:19).
“Dear God, I understand that I have broken your holy laws and am a sinner in your sight who deserves judgment. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and suffered the punishment that I deserve. I turn from my sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for the salvation of my soul. Please help me to live in obedience to your Word. Amen.”
