About

Our History

Phil and Rachel Frasier came to Manaoag in 1994 to start a work for the Lord. With our three small children, Elisabeth, Andrew, and Joseph and a faithful worker, Miss Teresita Nafianog, we began with simple Bible studies for adults, teens, and children. Our primary focus was the planting of the seed of God’s Word. Little by little God blessed and we saw people saved, baptized, and discipled to follow Jesus Christ. Manaoag Christian Baptist Church was organized in 1997 with a handful of faithful believers in a bamboo hut on the backside of our property.

We were able to relocate in the year 2000 to the center of our town where we rented a small building for 15 years. In 2016, by God’s grace and some generous gifts we were able to purchase a property and construct a building. We are now located along the town’s main river but still within the town proper area.

God has continued to add to the church regularly as we have been faithful to our primary duties of evangelism and discipleship. Our fellowship of believers is located in one of the Philippines most well known strongholds of Roman Catholicism, the town of Manaoag, (ma-now-og) Pangasinan. Our town is over 400 years old and has never had a Bible-believing Baptist church permanently located in the downtown area. This is where Rachel grew up until college age before her family migrated to the United States. We thank the Lord for the privilege to minister for Him in this needy part of His great vineyard (click here for map).

Our Message

God's Word - The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority in all matters pertaining to our faith and practice. It alone is the foundation upon which all of our teaching and preaching is built.

Gospel Message - Christ alone has paid the price for the sins of all mankind. His sacrifice alone has satisfied the Law’s demands and God’s justice. Forgiveness of sins and a right standing before God are available to all who will obey the command to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for their salvation. Those who reject Jesus Christ will be forever punished in the Lake of Fire.

Greatest Commandments - Jesus Christ taught that to love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself is the essence and summation of the Law. This provides the proper motivation for all we do in the Christian life.

Great Commission - The mission of the church has been clearly laid out by Jesus Christ. Go to the lost, evangelize them, baptize them, and disciple them.
