In 1994, Phil and Rachel Frasier, along with their three young children and a faithful helper, Miss Teresita Nafianog, came to Manaoag to share God’s Word. Starting with simple Bible studies for adults, teens, and children, their mission was to plant the seed of the Gospel. By God’s grace, lives were transformed, and in 1997, Manaoag Christian Baptist Church was officially organized with a small group of believers in a humble bamboo hut. Over the years, the church grew steadily, relocating to the town center in 2000 and, eventually, constructing a permanent building by the river in 2016, thanks to the Lord’s provision and generous support.
As one of the few Bible-believing churches in a predominantly Roman Catholic town, the church remains committed to evangelism and discipleship. Manaoag, a historic town over 400 years old, had never seen a permanent Bible-believing Baptist church downtown until now. With Rachel’s roots in this community and a strong passion for ministry, the church has flourished as a beacon of hope, faith, and love, faithfully serving God’s vineyard in this unique part of the Philippines.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. It serves as the unshakable foundation for every aspect of our teaching and preaching.
Jesus Christ clearly outlined the church’s mission: to go to the lost, share the Gospel, baptize them, and disciple them in the faith.
Jesus Christ taught us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is the foundation and motivation for all we do in the Christian life.
Christ alone paid the price for the sins of all mankind. His sacrifice fully satisfied the Law’s demands and God’s justice. Forgiveness and a right standing with God are granted to all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. Those who reject Him will face eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.
